About Pragya Aggarwal:
Pragya Aggarwal grew up at the foothills of the Himalayas, in the town of Jammu, where stories often travelled further than people did. She is an artist, storyteller, and the founder of October —
a textile studio housed in a restored bungalow, dedicated to preserving endangered crafts and working closely with women artisans.
Her practice is rooted in the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — the world is one family — explored through the timeless language of craft and storytelling. October began as her Master’s thesis and has since grown into a living archive of narratives, translated into hand-painted and hand-printed textiles.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at Vienna Design Week 2025 and Venice Design Week 2025. She currently lives between London and India, carrying blocks, brushes, and stories that thread worlds together.
