Echoes of Silver : Real Silver Block-Printing Workshop

€150.00

There are crafts that shimmer quietly at the edges of history almost forgotten, yet impossibly alive in the hands of a few. Chandi (blockprinting real silver on textiles) is one of them.

Originating in the 16th century, this ancient art of silver block printing is now practiced by only a handful of artisans in the world.

At the heart of this workshop are century-old brass blocks, each carrying the weight of time and touch. When you print with them, you don’t just make a mark, you become a part of a lineage, a story that has wandered across trade routes, temple towns, and royal ateliers.

Led by Pragya Aggarwal, this three-hour workshop is an invitation to slow down and experience a craft that refuses to be rushed. Participants will work with certified real silver sheets and hand blocks to create their own shimmering chandi postcards: Each one a small, radiant keepsake.

While it is not an easy artform to master, the beauty of chandi lies in the experience itself: the

rhythm of your hands, the quiet weight of the silver, the way the imprint becomes uniquely yours. No prior experience is required, only an openness to touch, experiment, and make it your own.
