WORKSHOPS
Selection page will be re-added in the lead-up to the event
Since XTANT’s beginnings half a decade ago, our yearly palate of workshops has only broadened. Hosting in depth classes and experiences with masters of their craft from all over the world to teach their many varied disciplines.
From the process and history behind willow basketry in northern Europe, to the spinning of yarn in western India, to the art behind the ornaments of the shrines and temples of Japan.

XTANT’s selection of workshops is carefully chosen to serve as a platform for the knowledge of these masters, in accordance with each year’s motif. A chosen subject which the entire event jointly investigates.

For 2025 the five letter word that defined XTANT was HUACA, meaning ‘sacred’. So we curated the program centring the objects as well as the rituals and practices which we hold sacred all across the world.
If you want to see the HUACA 2025’s Workshop page as it was during the event, it is still found here.
