WORKSHOPS

Selection page will be re-added in the lead-up to the event

Since XTANT’s beginnings half a decade ago, our yearly palate of workshops has only broadened. Hosting in depth classes and experiences with masters of their craft from all over the world to teach their many varied disciplines.

From the process and history behind willow basketry in northern Europe, to the spinning of yarn in western India, to the art behind the ornaments of the shrines and temples of Japan.

XTANT’s slew of courses is carefully selected to serve as platform for the knowledge of these masters in harmony with each year’s motif, the chosen subject which the entire event jointly investigates.

For 2025 the five letter word that would define XTANT would be HUACA, meaning ‘sacred’. So, centring the objects we intuitively understand as sacred, as well as the rituals and practices which we hold sacred, we curated th program.

If you want to see the HUACA 2025’s Workshop page as it was during the event, it is still found here.
