Rosana Escobar
Born in Bogota-Colombia but currently based in Berlin. Rosana Escobar is an Artist dedicated to her work in natural fibres and materials.
Earning a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts at the design academy of Eindhoven and Another in Biology at the University of the Andes in Bogota. Rosana’s work considers materials as part of living ecosystems, investigating and documenting the sourcing, handling and processing of each, in order to exploit latent opportunities during its various stages.
In her work, With the use of different techniques and machines, she highlights the diverse and unique qualities of each material by expanding its traditionally understood boundaries.
