The Complete XTANT NOMAD 2026 Program. With artists on their flights, scaffolding and installations going up across Can Vivot and our workshop locations: a complete program of all of this year’s events has finally taken shape. And, as in prior years, will be fully uploaded onto the XTANT website shortly. And we are happy to say that, to headline XTANT’s seventh edition, for the first time Palma’s city government has granted us space in the historic 14th century Mallorquín castle that is the Castell de Bellver. A wonderfully preserved marvel of the late medieval period hanging over Palma’s bay and one of few surviving circular castles of Europe: It carries within it the island’s history, decorated in historic statues and careful reconstructions of the way it was once furnished when it housed the kings of the then independent island fiefdom. Within its great interior patio XTANT will be hosting a one-day installation specially made to commemorate the event’s opening on the 9th: including Lov foundation and Orly Anan’s work with ‘We grow in circles’ and XTANT’s own SUEÑOS DE LANA: (Dreams of wool) a detailed artistic installation about the past and present of Mallorcan wool as well as the ongoing re-imagining of its future. But that is not all! In the hours between our daily talks held at Can Vivot, roughly 14:00 PM to 16:00 PM, a cycle of specially made or selected films will be played on stage free for public viewing; This year’s market/gallery, as teased by our issue focused on menswear, will host a set of new rooms curated for specific niches in previously off-limits areas of the old Palace; and, to top it all off, the collective Mallorca Makers will be hosting a special tour of the studios belonging to some of the many artists and artisans across the island for the duration of the event.
